Revising certain parts of the natural resource assessment regulation to include
hazardous substance or oil releases will be very beneficial to the environment. For
example, after a large oil spill there needs to be tight regualtions to ensure that
the spill is cleaned up as soon as possible so there will be the most minimal
amount of damage to the environment as possible. We have been too lax on
environmental regulations. Natural resource damage by hazardous substances
should definitely require tight regulation so hopefully the damage will be minimal.
