28 CFR Part 36
[CRT Docket No. 106; AG Order No. 2968-2008]
RIN 1190-AA44
You request comments on the need and use of text captioning at movie theaters,
live stage performances, sporting events, religious services, anywhere information
is shared via amplified audio. Personal Captioning Systems, Inc. has been
working to make small screen, discreet captioning a reality for the last 6 years.
We are currently installing systems that synchronize and display captions in
movie theaters. We have the technology, the expertise, and the cooperation of the
movie studios to provide the needed captions. We hope that our government will
consider the sharing of oral information via captioning for the deaf and hard of
hearing as important as it made physical access for those who use wheelchairs.
