FOIA fee increases should be stricken. Given the DOJ poor stewardship of taxpayer money & outright wasteful spending, as pointed out in the OIG report http://www.justice.gov/oig/reports/plus/a1143.pdf DOJ clearly has a surplus of money. Accordingly, Fees for document search and review for professional and administrative time should be reduced to $3.50 & $4.60 per quarter hour respectively. Fee increases inhibit citizen participation in government, an activity the government should be actively promoting rather than stifling. Thank you.
