Card Format Passport Extension

NAPVS supports Passport Services plan to follow the same procedures for passport cards that the agency is currently using for passport books. We recommend that the same procedures passport services companies follow for submitting passport book applications should apply for the passport card. This identical application process for both passport documents will reduce the confusion for American citizens. Accordingly, we propose that the number of passport or passport card applications passport and visa expediter service companies can submit be increased commensurate with the increase in passports issued nationally since 2002 and into the future based on the national growth for all passport documents.
