Criminal Background Check: What type of supporting documentation are you willing to accept for the criminal background certification? The Department of Energy background checks are completed by OPM or the FBI depending on the clearance level, will we have to supply that information to Dunn & Bradstreet or you? Will the background certification apply to existing RO's and ARO's or will this apply to new RO's and ARO's? Insurance: Currently exchange visitors are required to have insurance that will cover them and their dependents for the length of their exchange assignment. Is that going to change? Currently exchange visitors are required to get new insurance for extension will that change? How will the new insurance rates affect the ability of the exchange applicant to obtain insurance since the rates have increased greatly? Employment of Dependent Exchange Applicants: Not all dependents work when they come to the U.S. so are we just focusing on the one's who are asking for employment? On the other hand, are we having to collect information on the jobs that the dependents have or planning to apply for once they are in the U.S? And what types of information are we suppose to collect other than the typical information like whom they are employed? Why they need to work? And how will this affect the J-1 applicant? Certificate of Good Standing: How will Department of State administer the Certificate of Good Standing to the Exchange Program i.e., letter, e-mail, or a representative from DOS Exchange Program? Reciprocity: Can you provide us with a clearer definition of how to administer the Reciprocity part of the program if we are not looking at a one-to-one exchange? And will we be penalized if we don't have any participation in the Reciproticy Program? Sufficient Staffing: Define sufficient staff and resources, or we taking about have sufficient staff in one office or does this also include the field site that may report directly to us?
