Please do not make placing international students with American host families any harder than it already is. Whether a parent is single or not, has school-age children or not, is not relevant to the parent's skill at parenting. YFU already screens heavily to be sure appropriate choices are made, and volunteers stay in close touch to deal with issues as they arise during placement and as the year progresses.
