Please do not further restrict the legal trade in antiquities, including ancient coins. Coins are by their nature meant to be use in commerce, and often crossed borders. The majority of US currency in circulation is outside of the USA, for example. Coins are common, even ancient coins, and are often not documented due to their low value. Many developing nations are not equipped to safeguard antiquities, and certainly not for coins. Social and political unrest are constant threats to museums, as well as rampant corruption. Wide distribution and study of antiquities best preserves them for future generations and allows for widespread study.
