I am writing to request that DOT withdraw this proposal. In addition the issues of privacy, which I believe are extremely important, I am conserned that the said proposal will 1) be used in unintended (and inevitably hurtful ways (e.g. imagine someone who is falsely accused of being a terrorist - and don't forget that the potiential will always exist for misuse once any such database is created), 2) provide a false sense of security (like, e.g., confiscating finger nail clippers - the real problem is people, not the systems ability to control/track people). Rather than fear and reactionary policies we need to examine the _real_ problems here. Those problems aren't that we can't monitor, track and control movement. The real problems are much deeper. Please reconsider.
