American Airlines killed our dog in 2001 by placing him in the wrong compartment where he froze to death. The airlines lied to us initially on what happened to our dog. This was a devastating loss for our family and I will never forget how insensitive the airlines were regarding what they called "our baggage". They should be held responsible for the deaths and injuries suffered by animals when they are flown. I would rather flying animals be banned completely from flying in the cargo hold of airplanes.
