PART3:and certainly not deserving of being deceived by an organization luring well-intentioned students in to fund their venture capitalism.
In an ideal situation, the best remedy for me would be the forgiveness of my student loans, to have another chance at a quality education. I have tried contacting the attorneys representing the case vs. Brooks College as well as the appeals court judge to no avail. No one would EVER return my calls or emails. Exasperation is an understatement at this point for me. If I knew where to turn, I definitely would seize the opportunity to get my loans forgiven--even if there was a contingency involved, like I had to graduate with my BA in two years, for example. If you should have any advice or leads to offer, I would greatly appreciate anything you had to offer. I have even considered contacting Arne Duncan, the US Secretary of Education to appeal my case. I know I am not alone, there are probably an number of students who are similarly situated.
Would you please help me share my story? I have warned many a friend and stranger since this experience, but this problem is of epidemic proportions and poses a real threat to our economic recovery in the short and long term. All Americans deserve a decent chance of prosperity, and businesses should not be allowed to exploit that in order to profit. END
