Hello. I am writing to express my support for this proposed rule. I believe that this rule would help to decrease the amount of energy used by households in this country as well as encourage companies to proactively find ways to create new ideas and new technology for their current products. The latter may in turn help to stimulate the economy by creating new jobs for those that would be charged with creating the new products. I would recommend that we follow the lead that was created in California all the way back in 1992, when the California Energy Commission prescribed regulations aimed at making residential clothes washers sold in California more water-efficient.
