The Energy Department should focus on promoting the use of alternative fuels
instead of creating non-reachable goals. The only way goals are going to be
reached is for a group or organization to be funded to come up with more
alternative fuels or to use conservation instead of consumption. The year 2030 is
so relative and not even reachable for many in the country today. This leaves a
new group of employees to once again have to conform with regulations that are
not attainable as was seen in the 2000 goal. I would like the government to
establish more reachable goals that are influenced by success rate rather than
failure. These reports should show what has worked and what can be done better
in the future.
