This law would drastically hurt the business of manufacturers, plumbing suppliers, remodelers, contractors, architects, plumbers, and homeowners. Custom showers are a huge market of innovative products that homeowners greatly enjoy. Not often does anyone with multiple outlets turn them all on at the same time for an extended period of time. A simple handheld and shower head setup is often imperative for the elderly, injured, or those with small children, or people looking to easily clean their shower and this new law would violate that.
As the marketing director and showroom manager of a plumbing supply house with nine locations, I dread the major impact this would cause in revenue, as well as angry customers and installers who would also be losing revenue.. This market has been so dramatically effected by the recession and this would only continue to make things worse. Please consider all the people you would be hurting, as well as the people who would like to have even a handheld or shower head, or need body sprays for therapeutic reasons. There are so many other areas to look at for conversation, but impeding on people's showers is not the answer.
