As a student graduating from the University of New Orleans and as a citizen I would like to ask a question or submit a suggestion of comment. Your form seems to indicate that you are just asking for Corporate or Academic review.
I have a question and would like to ask the committee. I did not see any reference to harmful discharges. In Norway years ago Industry and corporations have agreed voluntarily to strive for "Zero Harmful Discharge". Produced Water has not been addressed by drilling interest nor have municipal treatment plants who also suffer from discharges of hydrocarbons.
I have been honored to observe and work with a leading Civil and Environmental Engineer Dr. Enrique LaMotta.
I asked him recently to define "Zero harmful discharge", “It means the removal of toxic substances from industrial wastewaters to avoid environmental damage” stated, Dr. Enrique La Motta.
Can we not find a way to get industry, government, local and federal to work towards the goal of “Zero Harmful discharge” ?
