I am strongly in favor of option 1 to get rid of mercury technology all together. Mercury is too dangerous to be working with and alternative technology is what I believe we should be working towards. Even if the technology is greatly improved to be safer and less polluting there will always be accidents and problems working with a poisonous material. We need to use alterate technology sources.
