The American Petroleum Institute (API) with over 400 members engaged in all aspects of the oil and gas industry offers the following comments.
API supports EPA’s proposal to extend for an additional nine months the existing administrative stay of the ``grandfathering'' provision for particulate matter less than 2.5 micrometers (PM2.5) requirements in the Federal Prevention of Significant Deterioration (PSD) program published in the Federal Register on May 16, 2008 as part
of the final rule entitled, ``Implementation of the New Source Review (NSR) Program for Particulate Matter Less Than 2.5 Micrometers (PM2.5).
API agrees with EPA on the need to extend the existing administrative stay by an additional nine months, during which EPA will propose, take public comment on, and issue a final action concerning the repeal of the grandfathering provision for PM2.5 in the Federal PSD program.
