Individual states should be able to reduce their greenhouse gas emissions by
cars and trucks that exceed the national limits under the Clean Air Act.
Formerly, California and some other states were able to move ahead with an
aggressive and progressive clean cars program. In 2008, the EPA denied that
waiver. President Obama has asked the EPA to reconsider the case, and I urge the
EPA to grant the waiver. The US is the largest polluter of greenhouse gases and
we should be leading the way in reducing global warming.
Thank you.
Sincerely,
Barbara Curtis, 647-A Nutley Drive, Monroe Township, NJ 08831
