The over-riding concern that should govern everything we do, as citizens, businesses and government agencies should be keeping our precious planet as free as is humanly possible from over-use, exploitation, pollution of air, water and land, deforestation and all other activities that endanger the very complex and critical factors that determine the health of our home earth and it's environment. If we don't do that sufficiently it will - it has - resulted in the deterioration of our quality of life, our health and the health of every other species that make up our eco-system. No one person's interests, no one company's interests or no one industry's interests are more important than having water clean enough to drink. Where will we get clean water if it's all allowed to be polluted so much that it kills us and the other animals that drink it or live in it? Where will we go to find peace and solace, whether in the mountains, deserts, plains or in the ocean if most the animals and plants are dead? What will we eat that won't make us sick if it's all been polluted by the chemicals we've put in the air and water? It's irrelevant whether or not we are causing global warming. What is clear and beyond arguing are the disasters that result when we think we can ignore the impact of our actions on the earth. We need to incorporate the wisdom of The Great Law of the Iriquois Confederacy: "In our every deliberation, we must consider the impact of our decisions on the next seven generations." The EPA is the government agency charged with protecting and cleaning our water, air and land, and that's what you must do.
