Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), I am writing this letter in regards to the proposed Greenhouse Gas Emissions Regulation. We all realize the importance to protect and preserve our environment, however, at this time; it would be counterproductive to enforce this regulation due to the negative impact it would have on the United States economy. It is estimated that while over 1.4 Million jobs (dailycaller) would be lost from this regulation’s enactment, at the same time, an outrageous 21 Billion dollars (nwdailymarker) of taxpayer money would be needed to fund the manpower additions to the EPA. Not only are American’s losing 1.4 million fellow taxpayer that could help us pay your salaries, but now we are wasting 21 billion that could go to our nation’s debt. This is not the right time for this proposed regulation. Let’s get out of debt before we continue spending on things that are not absolute necessities. Thank you for your time, Toby Cook References: http://www.nwdailymarker.com/2011/09/goplabs-obama%E2%80%99s-proposed-environmental-regs-mean-millions-more-u-s-jobs-lost/ http://dailycaller.com/2011/09/26/epa-regulations-would-require-230000-new-employees-21-billion/ http://www.citizen.org/Page.aspx?pid=2628 http://www.epa.gov/compliance/civil/index.html
