public comment on federal register of 6/13/07 vol 72 #113 pg 32657
epa docket 2005-0081 frl 8325-l shell oil company and safe drinking water act
attention lynn holloway and rosemarie kelley consent agreement for $77,000
this is peanuts for this company which is polluting all over the globe. the fines do
not even cover the cost of the lawyers who wrote this document. why are we
letting these companies get out of paying fair share fines that truly cover the cost
of their negligence. oil companies failed to maintain alaska pipeline for l4 years.
shell polluted all over ecuador leaving pools of oil. i very much oppose our corrupt
washington bureaucracy which is letting oil companies do a number on the
american people. the fines should at least cover the cost of administering them
and this one does not. the fines need to be increased. this consent judgment is
horrible for the american public.
