To whom it may concern,
I feel that this oil spill response time initiative would not be needed if the EPA had more stringent control over the safety and inspections of offshore oil rigs. With the United States of America supporting 2 war efforts in Southwest Asia, it is outrageous for us to commit our military forces towards an accident that could have been prevented. The response from our Naval Reserves and Coast Guard gave a great response to this avoidable disaster. I feel that the US government use the grand profits of BP and use the bonuses that would normally go to the CEOs and put a fund aside for a disaster task force that would not only repsond, but would also inspect and ensure that this disaster never happens again. Sincerely,
George Scheer
