I have been made aware that Guthion, has come up for review and I am writing to encourage those who make such decisions to consider extending the use of this insecticide for us in apple and cherry production. I am a second generation fruit grower and Guthion has been a useful tool to control such pests as cherry fruit fly, plum curculio, and apple maggot. We have attempted to alternate chemistrys in the control of these and other pests so as not to establish reistance in pest populations. Although there are other chemical controls, in addition to being more expensive, more specific, less effective, active for shorter periods. A loss of any will make it more difficult to pospone resistance. Please consider these factors and extend the availability of this product. Thank you, Ron Boals
