Florida Citrus Mutual is pleased that the EPA has maintained the current use
rates for Temik on citrus. We are also pleased that the new label includes the
extended application window for Florida (Nov. 15-Apr. 30). This change is critical
for application timing for the management of the Asian Citrus Psyllid, a
devastating pest in Florida citrus. in the October 12, 2007 version of the Aldicarb
RED, the EPA has stated that it will propose a full citrus crop group tolerance for
aldicarb. Florida Citrus Mutual and our membership urge the EPA to quickly
move forward in estblishing this tolerance that would expand use to citrus
hybrids. It is urgent that this action occur quickly in order to make timely
applications beginning this November in efforts to manage the Asian Citrus Psyllid
on those crops.
