Tolerance Actions: Aldicarb

As a grower of Florida citrus, I would like to express my concerns with the loss of aldicarb pesticide. We are under constant pressure from all pest groups and these pressures require reactive control measures. In the category of insects, the industry is facing a potentially catastrophic disease that is vectored by an insect. Control of this insect is vital to our ongoing profitability. Growers are already experiencing significant production costs increases in this battle while utilizing currently registered products. Aldicarb was a vital and cost effective tool in this battle. We are now left with one less option causing us to rely more on repeated applications of similar materials.
