As a retired certified water specialist, I have long known of the dangers of adding fluoride to drinking water. I use reverse osmosis to remove this hazardous chemical from drinking water, but cannot control it when dining out or using a public drinking fountain.
Since the level of fluoride in the water has an inverse correlation between the level in children's blood and their IQ, the allowable level of naturally occurring fluoride should be limited to less than 0.5 ppm and the allowable level of addition to the water should be limited to zero.
Other problems caused by fluoride in the water are ostesarcoma, thyroid dysfunction, hip fractures and dental fluorosis. Its a hazardous waste product that cannot legally be dumped in the ocean, so why is it okay to add it to the drinking water? You would allow arsenic to be added, but rat poison is okay?
Numerous studies can be accessed on the internet to substantiate these comments.
