Sirs:
I am hopping that common sense and accurate science prevales in the re-
registration of MSMA and other organic arsenic herbicides. I have effectively
applied MSMA for 20+ years and done so very safely with great results. Here in
the south there is truely no alternative for controlling grassy summer weeds. So
called alternative herbicides are not even close to the broad spectrum action of
MSMA. Most alternatives (which are not nearly as effective) are simply cost
prohibitive for me personally. I understand the leaching concerns on sandy soils
(Florida) but please don't punish all areas of the country. Leaching is not a
problem here in Louisiana. I believe restricting MSMA to allow only restricted use
applicators to use could accomplish EPA's goal and still allow educated use of
this very valuable product.
Thank you,
