Eliminating the greenhouse use will cause issues for commercial growers using Malathion for treatment of cereal leaf beetle on ornamental grasses. Cereal Leaf Beetle is a quarentine pest that requires treatment for shipping these crops into the state of California. Malathion remains the product of choice due to it's crop safety. This is a relatively small use, and is one of the FEW uses where ornamental growers actually utilize Malathion in pest control programs. **I am a distribution rep for a major national chemical distribution company and have worked with greenhouse growers in California, Washington, and Oregon for the past 12 years.
