To Whom It May Concern,
My name is George Lukach, I live in Streator Illinois.
As a famer and someone who uses Bt in their operation and also independent
sales rep for Pioneer Hi-Bred Int'l, I am disappointed that the competition has
attempted to discredit our AcreMax product. The EPA should see this as the
desperate anticompetitive effort that it is. It’s clear that Dow and Monsanto are
more concerned that our product would be successful and profitable in the market
place, than they are about insect resistance.
The refuge in a bag concept behind AcreMax will ensure IRM compliance. A
reduced refuge will greatly aid in producer productivity. These are the kinds of
product innovations farmers have been asking for.
Please don’t be swayed by the unsupported claims of competitors. I encourage
the EPA to review the science behind Pioneer’s submission without undue
influence from other seed companies. Competition is the backbone of this industry.
