I am the only person working for the City of Santa Monica that evaluates chemical products being used by our city. The ability to obtain information on chemicals in products is obviously critical to my ability to make informed decisions with respect to how chemical products will affect our community, the Santa Monica Bay, public health and employees.
I fully support requiring pesticide manufacturers to disclose inert ingredients so that local government can make better decisions. I know that the industry will kick and scream and send experts and lobbyists all over to stop this effort. I hope that EPA will not give in to this. I hope that EPA will help us protect the environment and human health.
Thanks
