As a forestry and wildlife management student at Ohio State University, I am deeply troubled by the news that poisons have been approved for the "control" of prairie dogs. Even someone with a minimal education on the subject knows the results for non-target species will be disastrous. I would also think that this violates the Endangered Species Act, considering prairie dogs are the main food source for endangered black-footed ferrets. It was quite a shock to me that these outdated techniques are still being practiced. I hope you will reconsider.
Sincerely,
Elizabeth Rose
