In November of 2010, ICTA submitted a petition to EPA regarding the nano copper content of the "micronized" wood preservatives. The petition establishes that the micronized products do contain copper and iron nano particles and that EPA has not yet investigated the health and environmental impacts of wood preservatives containing copper and/or iron nano particles. The petition further requests a "stop sale" on these products until safety can be established. The ICTA petition is attached. I support their recommendation. All interested parties should read this petition.
