Please strongly consider regulating triclosan under the CWA. This chemical has been shown to cause persistent and bioaccumulative damage in the environment. As with other structurally similar halogenated compounds it has also been shown to be a potent endocrine disrupter. As a chemist I can think of no reason why this chemical should not be regulated in the same manner as other chlorinated organics. If anything, it's regulation should be more stringent based on it's ubiquitous incorporation in so many consumer products that are intended to essentially "enter the water system" after use. Thank you for this opportunity. Bruce Pedersen 19595 edgewood rd athens, AL. 35614
