Atrazine is a well researched tool that is more important today than ever due to the increasing spectrum of weed herbicide resistances. Working up a viable weed control program in America's corn crop would be next to impossible without it. In a time of hard earned dollars, joblessness, hunger and dispair why would EPA seek to handicap the American farmers proven, safe food production network by removing a valuable and affordable product like atrazine. IF this ban would go through then in short order you may have to look around the office and decise which half of your co-workers and their families will be forced to starve to death due to the lack of affordable nutrition. Besides, do you really feel that the remainder of the world won't continue to produce and use atrazine - read China. I cite as example the continued long-term use of DDT for mosquito control world-wide, even after we outlawed its use in the USA. It was even found at one point as a low-grade contaminent on South American grapes.
