I hope the EPA will consider banning Atrazine. I'm disturbed by reports of its persistence in the environment years after its use, and by the endocrine disruption effects reported in frogs, as well as reproductive defects reported in fish and lab rodents. It seems to me the conservative course of action would be to take this herbicide off the market until it can be proven safe, rather than allow it to continue to be used while scientists slowly pile up evidence of its harm.
