The proposed initiative of the renovation of repair, and painting of public and commercial
buildings: One question that I have is who is going to fund this project?
This sounds like a huge project to take on and very expensive, with the way the economy is
today. Lead-based paint is not a safe product to use, due to the fact that it has a lot of health
risks to the public.
More research needs to be done on this proposal, before exposing the public to more
chemicals and health hazards. There is also the issue of funding the money, and with the
economy the way it is, this issue should be thought about more in detail to be considered.
