The RRP Lead Rule, as applied to residential construction, is generally misunderstood, sporatically enforced, and cost prohibitive. The majority of Homeowners I encounter are unaware of the rule (generally not mentioned to them by my competitors), and they often suspend their potential project or select a non-certified contractor when I inform them of the costs associated with it.
Please consider delaying the implementation of this requirement on commercial projects until it's application to residential projects is standardized.
Sincerely,
Grant Elliott
