I believe the EPA should be involved in the development of green product standards. Currently, there are too many "green" labels on products. There is no consistency, so as a consumer I have no way to weight the value of any one of the labels. The labels are not informing my purchase. The EPA can gain broad consistency in the US and internationally in the what it means to be a "green" product. With consistency in standards, I will be more comfortable making purchase decisions based on the greeness of the product. Competing and confusing green product standards do nothing to help consumers.
