The Pesticide Policy Coalition (PPC) is a coalition of nationwide and regional farm, commodity, specialty crop, and silviculture organizations; cooperatives; food processors and marketers; pesticide manufacturers; pest- and vector-control operators; research organizations; and other interested parties. The PPC's mission is to ensure the availability of safe, affordable pest management tools. We support development and implementation of public policies and laws that utilize the best available science and technology assuring protection of human health and the environment. The PPC recommends that the Human Studies Review Board postpone further consideration of and recommendations regarding the agricultural pesticide handlers exposure protocols until following the review of these protocols planned by the FIFRA Science Advisory Panel. The rationale for doing so is clearly spelled out in comments submitted to this docket by CropLife America.
