Hi,
I wanted to thank EPA for their efforts to protect the Bristol Bay region and the watershed. My family have been fishing their for some 20 years now and still consume salmon from there. Our family would be devastated if we were unable to fish and consume the fish because of the byproducts caused by mining, especially cadmium, zinc, copper. Although it is the 21st century, there is no technology that completely protects the environment from mining byproducts. As I say, there is no such thing as environmental mining.
Thanks again,
Helena
