Legislation via regulations is tyrannical. The EPA and other agencies are usurping the power of Congress and the people of the United States. These Departments are acting as if they are the supreme power of the nation. They have apparently found a loop hole in the law that allows them to act with impunity. The only power to stop what they are doing rests in the President. He has the power to remove the heads of the departments if he disagrees with what they are doing. By doing nothing, the usurpation that is occurring is as if the President were doing it himself. The expansion of the department's spending, the increase in compliance costs, and jobs that are lost as a direct result of the Departments' implementation of these onerous regulations, has a ripple effect through out the economy. The higher costs of compliance and increased government spending takes money from the consumer through higher taxes and increased costs of goods and services. This prevents the consumer from buying additional items that would otherwise drive the economy and create jobs and prosperity. The EPA and other departments are charged with assessing the impact on jobs of the regulations they propose. They have broken the law by not assessing the impact of the jobs lost and the ripple effect that has on the economy. Nor have they assessed the impact of higher costs for goods and services as compliance costs are passed on to the consumer and the resulting job losses as fewer goods are able to be purchased by the consumer. Stop usurping the power thru these loop holes. President Obama, do what is best for the people. Allow the economy to grow.
