i object to special extension of time for veterinarians. i wonder why they cant send
in their comments like every other american citizen has to do or are they making
so much money and overcharging so much on visits they have so much more
money to travel to sunny vacation spots than the rest of america these days.
maybe so, but that is not a good reason to extend the bill. the fact is these vets
can fill out the paperwork on their vacations to sunny climes based on
overcharging for visits to help their sick pets.
i find the avma to be less than sterling these days and find the educational
process for vets to be absolutely disturbing so that to hold them up as "special"
needs another look. they seem to speak out in favor of animal abuse far too often
and they seem to fail to recognize pain and suffering in animals. i have seen far
too much of their defense of factory farming, practices and lab tests etc. to have
my stomach turned about what this group is doing.
we need to change what it means to be a vet. we need them to truly be
concerned abouit the pain of factory farms too. they seem to be ignorant on that
score in far too many instances. i think it sullies their right to ask for any special
privileges at all that the rest of america does not have.
