I am writing to oppose delisting Holland Lagoons Superfund site in Park Township,Ottawa County,Michigan,49423, Docket ID no.EPA-HQ-SFUND-1986-0005. The groundwater there is contaminated with several carcinogens from a pollution plume from the adjacent Southwest Ottawa County Landfill Superfund site. The Holland Lagoons EPA site was monitored by Ottawa County. The proposed Park West Drain route will go through the pollution plume at this site. I am concerned that construction of the drain can alter the pollution plume and create a pathway for the toxic chemicals to enter the drain route which empties into Lake Macatawa, which empties into Lake Michigan, the source of drinking water for most of the Holland area. These waterways are used for swimming, fishing, and boating, which create potential exposure to toxics and risk to wetland, wildlife, and human health..Please do not delist this site.EPA should protect water quality and human health.
