We believe the drinking water resources in this area of the county are greatly
affected due the contamination found. With several drinking water wells already
found to be contaminted, the contaminator should be held liable and responsible
for the costs of aquiring new water sources for the city. These costs are in the
millions of dollars per well. Also the entire area west of the contaminated site is
populated with residences. The contamination in the shallow aquifer could
volitalize and affect the air in the basements of these residences.
We very much support including this site on the National Priorities List.
