June 03, 2009 Re: FDMS docket ID No. EPA-HQ-SFUND-2009-073 Ecolonomic Realty Group, LLC (ERG) would like to comment to the Proposed Listing of the Amcast Industrial Corporation Site located in Cedarburg, WI, FDMS docket ID No. EPA-HQ-SFUND-2009-073 (the Site) on the National Priorities List (NPL). Currently, ERG is under a letter of intent to purchase both the North and South Parcels, consisting of approximately 8.4-acres of real property from the Amcast Industrial Corporation. Under the terms and conditions of the transaction, ERG will be responsible for the environmental cleanup for the onsite conditions as well as for the planning and redevelopment. As such, listing the Site on the NPL could limit ERG’s ability to take advantage of Brownfield’s and other similar programs, as well as impair their ability to remediate and market the site in a timely and cost effective manner. ERG is formally requesting that a 90-day extension be given to the public comment period so we can complete our due diligence and complete the Purchase and Sale negotiations. ERG’s members have over 20-years experience in real estate and Brownfield’s type redevelopment projects. Additionally our teaming partners, International Risk Group, LLC (IRG) has vast experience, securing, remediating, and repositioning environmentally impaired properties and returning them to productive use.
