The CERCLA Act should require the NCP to submit a list
of national priorities among the known releases or threatened releases of hazardous substances, pollutants, or contaminants throughout the United States so that the EPA may be guided in assessing which sites require investigation. This list is essential to ensuring a stable and hazard-free environment throught the United States. The list should be updated and revised every six months to ensure its effectiveness. The cites designated by the CERCLA Act should also receive appropriate funding in the amount determined neccessary by the EPA. Failure to do so will pose a significant threat to public health.
