I attended the EPA presentation is Nassau and support the proposal to add the Dewey Loeffel to the National Priorities List. It is important that this site be properly cleaned up as the hazardous waste that were dumped at this site are impacting the health of the residents and wildlife that live around the site, In addition, property values of homes in the area have been affected which unfairly affects the property owners. The water well on my property has been contaminated by the Dewey Loeffel site. I would like to see the site (and surrounding areas that have been contaminated) cleaned up so that no more damage is done to the people, animals, and environment. The contributors to this toxic landfill need to be held accountable for their past actions. The residents in the area should not have to be burdened with the negative affects caused by the actions of others.
