How does the EPA answer what is reported by Toledo Blade (Ohio), November 14, 2005 <http://toledoblade.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article? AID=/20051114/NEWS06/511140305>? I read another report that The American Chemistry Council (ACC) that recently launched a major chemical industry Public Relations campaign called "essential2" is one of the main groups claiming that the Toxics Release Inventory <http://www.epa.gov/tri/> (TRI), a public right-to-know program, is not so essential. How does the EPA balance an ACC Public Relations Campaign with the needs of the public, the public?s right to know, and the EPA mission? I particular, what purpose does relaxing standards serve, except for industry to profit. I am willing to pay the price for the right to know and am sure others feel the same.
