Comment from Sierra Club

On behalf of the Sierra Club and its members who suffer adverse impacts from sources of air pollution in Mississippi which impact Class I areas, I respectfully submit the attached comments on the United States Environmental Protection Agency’s (“EPA”) proposed “limited approval and limited disapproval” of Mississippi’s Regional Haze State Implementation Plan (“RH SIP”) submittal, Docket ID No. EPA-R04-OAR-2009-0784; Approval and Promulgation of Air Quality Implementation Plans; State of Mississippi; Regional Haze State Implementation Plan, 77 Fed. Reg. 11879 (Feb. 28, 2018) (to be codified at 40 C.F.R. Part 52). As discussed in greater detail below, Mississippi’s September 22, 2008, and May 9, 2011, RH SIP submissions should not be approved as currently set forth.
