These rules represent progress in simplifying a complex regulatory program and balancing economic development with air quality protection. In addition, USEPA's approval of the rules will eliminate the gap that exists between the current Indiana rules and the rules in the Indiana State Implementation Plan. The IMA urges USEPA to approve these rules as expeditiously as practical.
