Subject: '08 Reformulated Cleaner Burning Gasoline For SW OH
Dear Mr. Mooney,
I welcome the opportunity to lessen my vehicle's air pollution thru the burning of cleaner burning gasoline. While I have always maintained my vehicles to manufacturer's maintenance specifications, I always thought cleaner burning gasoline would make a more significant contribution to lessening air pollution.
Living in a rural area where automobile usage is a necessity, I do the very best to coordinate my driving trips, eliminate vehicle warm-ups, use off-road power equipment with more consideration and walk when its appropriate.
While many will argue about the benefits & costs, I would be willing to use this fuel year around. (6) years ago, our family purchased a flex-fuel Ford Taurus in the belief, that this vehicle would one day use E85 fuel and lessen our family tie to crude oil. I'm still waiting for the day that this vehicle can fill up with E85, as this fuel until recently was limited in production and distribution to government agencies and power companies like Duke Energy in SW OH.
As a parent, I believe I can speak for other folks when I say we all want a more safe and healthful world for our children and grandchildren. If that means spending a little more for gasoline, so be it.
